Coastal habitats and heathland.
Extremely variable in colour and can be difficult to tell apart from similar species, including Square-spot Dart (E.obelisca) and Coast Dart (E.cursoria).

Some authorities consider there to be several separate species in the White-line Dart complex, but none yet occur in Britain!
